Molecular diagnosis is a branch of medicine that applies molecular biotechnology to disease diagnosis. It uses molecular biology technology to study the existence, structure or expression regulation changes of human endogenous or exogenous biomolecules. It provides information and decision-making basis for disease prevention, prediction, diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and outcome.Digital PCR is currently one of the most important nucleic acid molecular diagnostic techniques.
Digital PCR (digital PCR, dPCR) technology is a brand-new technical means for accurately quantifying nucleic acid molecules. It adopts an absolute quantification method and does not rely on standard curves and reference samples. It directly detects the copy number of the target sequence with high sensitivity and specificity. Digital PCR has shown good application prospects in many clinical fields, such as tumor liquid biopsy, organ transplant damage assessment, non-invasive prenatal screening, molecular diagnosis of pathogenic microorganisms, and quality control and result verification of second-generation sequencing libraries, etc. In advanced therapy, such as cell therapy, gene therapy, immunotherapy, the quality control system is very important, and the absolute quantification of target nucleic acids helps intuitive and effective index quantification.
Digital PCR improves the resolution of low-frequency events and has advantages of greater inhibitor tolerance. In all aspects of translational medicine, life sciences, and biological sciences, there are innovative research and applications. And it has multiple fluorescence channels and visual quality control features. It can perform specific detection of a variety of genes, and ensure that more reliable data is obtained quickly, enabling more information to be obtained in the case of limited biological samples, and significantly improving detection capabilities and work efficiency.
In order to better understand the digital PCR technology for the majority of scholars, the training camp will invite senior technical experts to talk about detailed explanation of third-generation digital PCR technology, experimental operation, result analysis, molecular diagnostic method establishment and verification, quantification of advanced treatment quality control system, liquid biopsy, quantitative application case analysis of standard products.
